Yet another blog about some guy's family moving to Buenos Aires.
Yet another blog about an expat family in Buenos Aires.
My wife and I sold everything we owned and moved our family to Argentina in August of 2007.
This blog is an attempt to share our experience with friends and family back home... and anyone else that wishes to stop by.

Beautiful!
Thanks Beatrice! Hope things are still going well for you. Did you find a new laptop?
Hi!! I know this is going to sound weird but I´m from Cordoba , Argentina.I´m a student of English Translation at the university. I was looking for some information about the Farm Protest in English for school and I discover your blog. I think it´s amaziiiiing!!. You cannot imagine what is for me ( a person who is constantly studying the differences between you Americans and Brits!!!!) to find a person who is doing the same with MY culture. And even more, now that I´m going to the states in December!!! Hope you enjoy your stay here!!!

Hi from Arlington TX! I'm here taking care of our stuff in storage, getting ready to move to BsAs full time! If you are looking for empanadas/etc in the DFW area there is an Argentine owned bakery.
Address
3401 W Airport Freeway 112
IRVING TX
(Corner of Belt Line)
972-252-4809. They have yerba and dulce de leche also.
All the best! Fred
Thanks for the complements Lucila. I'm glad you found my blog useful.
Fred, Our friends told us about the Argentine bakery. I need to go there for an empanada fix. I hope they have Havana Alfajores too. BTW. It looks like we are going to be moving back to Arlington. When are you moving to BsAs?
Hi Dave,
We should be in BsAs by Nov 30th the latest! busy doing unpacking etc in Irving, and making the final arrangements. The cafe is interesting, but I don't remember seeing Havanna products. Miami had a few Havanna stores, but some of them closed. (grrr)We're staying in Arlington right now, a mile from the ballpark. Nice construction by the stadium (Cowboys)

We plan to be in BsAs by the end of November.

We're in Arlington TX right now...
Fred
Dave,
I was just at the bakery in Irving yesterday. They have home made alfajores (My Argentine wife gave thumbs up to the home made chocolate mini's) and they have imported Terrabusi Alfajores, not Havanna.
The empanadas looked VERY appealing, and there is the usual chorizo, and mortadella etc. Enjoy.
Fred (In Arlington right now)
Fred: Thanks for the scoop. I'm running low on my havannas. I'll go there for the Alfajores and empanadas. Got to get our housing situation settled first. Looks like it will be Arlington again.
Our first house there was just off of Ballpark north of I-30. We loved being able to walk to the ballgames.
This is such an arresting image. Love your blog!
Thanks denise!
