Are we playing Fútbol or Football?

Today, my four year old and I were outside enjoying the cooler weather with his brand new nerf football—an orange and white Texas Longhorn football of course. In between running plays, he blurted out, "OK daddy, you be the Texas Longhorns and I will be the Boca Juniors. Cause that is your favorite team and Boca is my favorite team. OK?"

Gotta love him!

Hey, are you sure he is not Rahm Emanuel's kid?

In a generation or two, hopefully, fútbol will be as big in USA as it is in the rest of the world. Our players over there may be over the curve and not the greatest we've seen, but they're doing their part.

Dunno if I've ever commented here, but been reading for a while.

What a great idea for a culture clash - a football/fútbol dream team meet :) Wonder who will prevail in determining how to merge the rules, though :)

I'll be a senior at McCombs in the fall and I'm spending my summer here in BsAs doing an internship and trying to improve my Castellano.

I have come to love both BsAs and Austin immensely and this little anecdote really made me look forward to returning to Austin for football season in a month and a half!

Mushi thanks for stopping by. Hope your Castellano is coming along. Enjoy the Fútbol while you are in BA.

I can't wait for Aug to roll around too! It's Colt McCoy's last year. I'm hoping we do even better than last season. Hook'Em!

Have you been to a Boca Juniors game yet? The atmosphere in the stadium is unlike anything you've ever seen in your life.
